School Culture Affecting Working Environment of Teachers in Bangkok Vocational Training School Under Department of Social Development and Welfare, Bangkok
Abstract:
The purposes of this research are to study 1) importance level of school culture and working environment 2) relationship between school culture and working environment 3) School culture affecting working environment of teachers in Bangkok Vocational Training School under Department of Social Development and Welfare, Bangkok. The samples are 207 teachers in the Bangkok Vocational Training School.
A research tool used to collect data is questionnaire with rating scale while the data is analyzed by several statistics such as mean, standard deviation, Pearson correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression analysis.
The results show that
1. The whole image and detailed aspects of importance level of school culture of the teachers in Bangkok Vocational Training School under Department of Social Development and Welfare, Bangkok is at high level. The feeling of being a part of the school is at highest level, followed by workforce diversity in aspect of decision making.
2. The working environment of the teachers in Bangkok Vocational Training School under Department of Social Development and Welfare, Bangkok is at high level, both the whole image and detailed aspects.
3. All aspects of school culture have a positive relationship with the working environment, both the whole image and detailed aspects with significance level at .01.
4. The school culture affecting the working environment of the teachers in Bangkok Vocational Training School under Department of Social Development and Welfare, Bangkok, demonstrates that
4.1 The whole image of the school culture affecting the working environment of the teachers in Bangkok Vocational Training School under Department of Social Development and Welfare, Bangkok, includes 5 aspects; acceptance, workforce diversity, high-quality personnel, honesty and feeling of being a part of the school, with significance level at .01. These factors can be applied to forecast the working environment of the teachers in Bangkok Vocational Training School under Department of Social Development and Welfare at 81.60%.
4.2 The instructional aspect of the school culture affecting the working environment of the teachers in Bangkok Vocational Training School under Department of Social Development and Welfare, Bangkok, includes 3 items consisting of workforce diversity, reliability and motivation of the schools. These aspects can be used to predict the working environment of the teachers in Bangkok Vocational Training School under Department of Social Development and Welfare at 51.70%.
4.3 The colleague aspect of the school culture affecting the working environment of the teachers in Bangkok Vocational Training School under Department of Social Development and Welfare, Bangkok, comprises of 3 items which are workforce diversity, honesty and feeling of being a part of the school.
