Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to develop school curriculum on biotechnology of
swine production in mattayomsuksa one; and 2) to study the implementation results of the
development of school curriculum on biotechnology of swine production in mattayomsuksa one.
This curriculum was developed for four stages including investigation of basic information,
curriculum developing, implementation, and improvement. The developed curriculum was
experimented with 15 students from mattayomsuksa one who studied in the second semester of
the academic year 2007 at Chumkhor pittayakom School.
The research instruments were : questionnaire, interview form, the school curriculum
on biotechnology of swine production in mattayomsuksa one, lesson plans, test on knowledge and
understanding, practice evaluation form, and attitude evaluation form. Statistical analysis was
done for percentage, content analysis, index of item objective congruence (IOC), mean, ( X ),
standard deviation (S.D.), and t-test.
The major results were shown. 1) The development of school curriculum on biotechnology
of swine production in Mattayomsuksa one was appropriate at a high level and could be implemented.
2) The school curriculum on biotechnology of swine production in mattayomsuksa one implementation
revealed that students understanding after the experiment was significantly higher than before the
experiment at 0.05 level, students skill in with curriculum on biotechnology of swine production in
mattayomsuksa were grater than the criteria level of 80, and studentsattitude toward with school
curriculum on biotechnology of swine production in mattayomsuksa one after the experiment
was at higher level. ( X =4.40).
