Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to study the practice of internal supervision styles,
the needs for internal supervision and relationship between the styles and the needs for internal
supervision of teachers under Secondary Educational Service Area Office 18. The samples of this
research were 343 teachers, who work under Secondary Educational Service Area Office 18.
The instruments used were 5 rating scale questionnaires. All of reliability of the questionnaire
was .87 and the statistics used for data analysis included mean, standard deviation and Pearsons
correlation coefficient.
The results of this research were as follow: 1) the practice of teachers under the
Secondary Educational Service Area Office 18 followed school internal supervision styles was at
high level for the overall aspects. When each school internal supervision styles was considered, it
was found that peer coaching supervision style, corporative professional development supervision
style and collaboration supervision style were at high level, however, the administrative
monitoring supervision style, and clinical supervision style at moderate level. 2) The need for
school internal supervision was at the high level foe the overall aspects and individual aspects.
3) The relationship between the school internal supervision styles and the needs for school
internal supervision was positive and statistical significant at 0.01 but the relationship was at the
low to moderate level.
