Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to study the desirable characteristics of kindergarten teachers as perceived by administrators and parents in Bangkok Metropolis on teaching, personality, moralty and ethics and human relations. The sample group of this study consisted of 300 administrators and 600 parents from 300 schools in public and private under Department of Education Bangkok Metropolitan Administration under Bangkok Education Service Area Office 1, 2 and 3 and Office of the Private Education Commission. The research instruments were desirable characteristics of kindergarten teachers questionnaire and interview. The data was analyzed by using frequency distribution, percentage, means and standard deviation. The research findings were as follows: 1. Concerning teaching: as perceived by administrators indicated that teachers should understanding in early childhood fostering, organize teaching activities with 6 activities, and produce instructional media and individual assess. As perceived by parents indicated that teachers should understanding in early childhood fostering, organize teaching activities with 6 activities, and produce instructional media and compiling work of children. 2. Concerning personality: as perceived by administrators indicated that teachers should be punctual and dress under school regulation. As perceived by parents indicated that teachers should humor, enjoy, cheerful, speak politely and use correct Thai language. 3. Concerning moralty and ethics: as perceived by administrators indicated that teachers should faith in nation, religion and king. As perceived by parents indicated that teachers should kind. 4. Concerning human relations: as perceived by administrators indicated that teachers should show herself of loving children to indicated that children are warm accepted, cooperate with other co-workers to solve a problem, closely cooperate with parents and adapt with others. As perceived by parents indicated that teachers should show herself of loving children to indicated that children are warm accepted and closely cooperate to develop children.
