Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to study and compare status of classroom action
research conducted by teachers under the office of Chanthaburi educational service
area 1. The sample of this research study included 306 classroom teachers. The research
instrument used for collecting data was a 5 rating-scale questionnaire consisting of 40 items.
Its reliability was at 0.92. Statistical analysis was employed for percentage, mean ( x ), standard
deviation (S.D), and t-test for hypothesis testing.
The following major results were found. 1) Classroom action research done by the
classroom teachers under the office of Chanthaburi educational service area 1 was at a moderate
level. Classified by personal status, marital status, work experience, classroom research
experience, teaching experience based upon learning strands; the result was also at a moderate
level. 2) The comparison of classroom action research conducted by the teachers under the office
of Chanthaburi educational service area 1 - classified by personal status, marital status, work
experience, classroom action research experience - revealed that all variables did not show
significant difference. Classified by marital status, classroom action research carried out by
the teachers showed significant difference at the .05 level.
