Abstract:
The purposes of descriptive research were 1. to determine satisfaction of instructors and students towards administration of Bachelor of Nursing Science Program for academic year 2007. 2. to compare satisfaction of instructors towards administration of Bachelor of Nursing Science Program for academic year 2007 classified according to education level and teaching experience. 3. to compare satisfaction of students towards administration of Bachelor of Nursing Science Program for academic year 2007. The sample were 599 nursing instructors and nursing students. The instrument composed of instructors and students satisfaction questionnaire. The internal consistency was tested using Cronbach s alpha coefficient and its value were 0.96 and 0.99 respectively. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test and F-test.
The results were summarized as follows;
1. The demographic data showed that overall nursing instructor were 46, mostly with master s level (76.1%) and had teaching experience (15.71%), nursing students were 483, mostly Bachelor of Nursing Science students (4 years study program) (68.5%).
2. Overall, satisfaction of instructors towards administration of Bachelor of Nursing Science Program for academic year 2007 were at good level (X=3.54, SD=0.62), aspects of educational administration and educational resource administration had the highest average mean score (X=3.51, SD=0.64, 0.56).
3. Overall, satisfaction of students towards administration of Bachelor of Nursing Science Program for academic year 2007 were at good level (X=3.56, SD=0.67), aspect of educational evaluation had the highest average mean score (X=3.71, SD=0.57).
4. Satisfaction of instructors who had different education level and teaching experience was not different and satisfaction of students studying different program was statistically significantly different (p<.001).
The findings recommend that administration of Bachelor of Nursing Science Program should be implemented under participation, systematic curriculum planning and authentic learning.
