Abstract:
The purposes of this study were 1) to study the current states of school-based management (SBM) and 2) to study the problems of school-based management in the primary schools level 1-2 under the jurisdiction of Chaiyaphum Educational Service Area Office 2.
The 414 subjects of this study consisted of 138 administrators, 138 teachers, and 138 school boards. The instrument for data collection was the rating scale questionnaire, which was constructed by the researcher. The reliability of the questionnaire evaluated by the coefficient alpha was 0.78. The data was analyzed a computer software to obtain percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

in Chaiyaphum Educational Service Area Office 2 was in high level. The means in every aspect were high. The aspects that showed higher means than the others were the improvement of administrator profession, realization and understand of SBM, organization of administration, vision, rewarding, organizations of thinking and working, development of information technology, and participation in curriculum development respectively. The aspect that showed
the lowest mean was the improvement of teacher profession.
