Abstract: This research designed a bookstore counter service system using a web browser program through the Internet. The case study for the research was salaya bookstore. The research aimed at developing a more efficient system by applying information technology to the working process to satisfy users’ needs. The system was divided into two parts- service application and stock management. Graphic user interface (GUI) was used to interface users with the application. In order to design the prototype program, data collection, problemfinding through data collection and working process feasibility study were conducted to prepare for system analysis. The system was designed in accordance with users’ database with Active Server Page (ASP) as an interface tool between the web browser and users. The result of the research is an application program for the bookstore. It is also suggested that interfacing the working process among different branches should be implemented to make the system more efficient in the future.

Abstract: งานวิจัยที่จัดทำขึ้นนี้เกี่ยวกับระบบ counter service สำหรับร้านขายหนังสือ โดยใช้ โปรแกรม web browser ผ่านทางเครือข่ายอินเตอร์เน็ต โดยใช้กรณีศึกษาเป็นร้านหนังสือ ศาลายา บุ๊คสโตร์ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ในการทำวิจัยครั้งนี้ เพื่อพัฒนาระบบร้านหนังสือให้มีประสิทธิภาพที่ดี และนำเอาเทคโนโลยี IT (Information Technology) เข้ามาประยุกต์ใช้กับระบบการทำงานของ ร้านหนังสือ เพื่อให้สามารถตอบสนองต่อลูกค้าและเจ้าหน้าที่ของระบบให้ดียิ่งขึ้น ซึ่งรูปแบบการ ทำงานของระบบจะมีการทำงานอยู่สองส่วนคือ service application กับ management stock และในส่วนการใช้งานจะทำการออกแบบ application โดยใช้ GUI (Graphic User Interface) เป็นตัวกลางระหว่างผู้ใช้กับโปรแกรม ในการจัดทำโปรแกรมต้นแบบจะทำการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล ทำความเข้าใจกับปัญหาที่เกิดขึ้นในระบบปัจจุบัน และศึกษาความเป็นไปได้ของระบบในการ ทำงาน เพื่อนำไปสู่การวิเคราะห์ระบบที่แสดงในรูปจาก data flow diagram การออกแบบระบบที่ เป็นไปตามความต้องการของผู้ใช้ ในลักษณะที่ง่ายต่อการใช้งาน รวมทั้งมีการออกแบบฐานข้อมูล ในลักษณะของ relational database โดยใช้โปรแกรม MySQL เป็นฐานข้อมูลและใช้ ASP ใน การติดต่อระหว่าง web browser กับ client ซึ่งผลการวิจัยนี้จะทำให้ได้รูปแบบของโปรแกรมเพื่อ ใช้ในการทำงานในร้านหนังสือ พร้อมกันนี้ผู้วิจัยยังได้มีข้อเสนอแนะในการพัฒนางานวิจัยนี้ต่อไปคือ ควรจะมีการเชื่อมโยง การทำงานระหว่างสาขาของร้านหนังสือให้มากกว่าที่เป็นอยู่ เพื่อให้ระบบนี้มีประสิทธิภาพที่ดียิ่ง ขึ้นต่อไป
