Working effectiveness of the sub-boards considering the payment for the reimbursement according to national health security act BE 2545
Abstract:
The objective of this research was to explain the characteristics, measure the
knowledge, evaluate the effectiveness of the sub-board considering payments for
reimbursement and find the relationship between the characteristics and the
knowledge with the sub-board for the payment of reimbursements according to the
National Health Security Act, B.E. 2545.(A.D.2002). The sample consisted of 186
sub-board members with experience in considering payments for reimbursement. The
data was collected using a questionnaire from November 1, 2005 to February 28,
2006. Descriptive statistics used were frequency, percentage, mean and standard
deviation. The analytical statistics were comprised of the χ2-test and the Fisher exact
test.
Results of the study showed that most of the Sub-boards were male, they were
older than 60 years, self employed and had an education level of Bachelors degree.
The concept of structure and coordination were high mean (4.07-4.34) and the
knowledge of the Sub-boards were at a moderate level (61.8%). Working
effectiveness of the Sub-boards considering payments for reimbursement according to
the National Health Security Act,B.E.2545 (A.D.2002) were effectiveness (31.2%)
and the relationships between the personal characteristics of the Sub-boards and
working effectiveness were not related with a significance rate of 0.05 (χ2= 0.511, pvalue=
0.475), but the structure concept and the coordination concept were related at a
significance rate of 0.05 with a working effectiveness of the Sub-boards considering
payments for reimbursement according to the National Health Security Act B.E.2545
(A.D.2002). (χ2=55.686, p-value= 0.000) and the level of knowledge of the Subboards
having a working effectiveness related at a significance rate of 0.05
(χ2=6.784, p-value= 0.034). The recommendations resulting from the research were
that according to the conditions, damage is not caused by normal progression of
disease pathology, complication of normal diagnosis and the knowledge of fairness of
health service. They should be set up and a continuing seminar, at least twice a year,
should be instituted.
