Performance effectiveness of health education teachers on nutrition promotion in schools under the initiatives of her royal highness princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
Abstract:
This explanatory research aimed to explain the level and relationships
between participation management, organizational climate, managerial competency
and performance effectiveness of health education teachers on nutrition promotion in
Thai schools under the initiatives of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri
Sirindhorn. A questionnaire was used to collect data from 222 health education
teachers who are responsible for nutrition promotion in schools. The data was
analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearsons product
moment correlation coefficient and stepwise multiple regression.
The results showed that the Performance effectiveness of Health Education
Teachers was at a medium level. There were statistically significant positive correlations
between participation management, organizational climate, and managerial competency,
and performance effectiveness (r = 0.77, 0.53 and 0.76, p-value ≤ 0.001). Participation
management, managerial competency, and organizational climate could predict 72
percent performance effectiveness.
This study suggests that school administrators should set a policy that
promotes participation management in schools and the factors which encourage health
education teachers.
