Abstract:
The Clean Food Good Taste project was provided in order to promote
tourism and economics of Thailand. The project focuses on examining cooking places
or restaurants and improving such places to meet the standard of good sanitation.
After implementing this project, there was no evaluation or study on duty of officers
who were responsible for the Clean Food Good Taste project in Nakhonratchasima
province. As a result, the objective of this study was to evaluate work performance of
115 officers who were responsible for the Clean Food Good Taste project in
Nakhonratchasima. Questionnaires were used for data collection and about 91.3%
were returned and used for data analysis. Chi-Square Test and Kendalls tau-b were
applied to test relationships between studied factors.
Results showed that overall duty of officers who were responsible for the
Clean Food Good Taste project was good (65.7%). Most of them were aged
between 21-59 years and married. About two-thirds of them (74.3%) held a bachelors
degree and 84.8% of them were trained for this project. More than half of them had a
moderate level of knowledge and attitudes towards this project (69.5% and 66.7%,
respectively). The management process was at a good level (61%). The analysis for
relationships showed that organizational management, controlling and management
process were significantly and positively related to work performance of officers who
were responsible for this project (p< 0.041, p<0.005 and p< 0.036, respectively). The
second hypothesis was therefore supported.
It is recommended from the research results that training should be
provided to enhance potential and management skills of officers in this project. Such
available training can help promote the project of Clean Food Good Taste in
Nakhonratchasima province, Thailand
