ลักษณะบุคลิกภาพคนไทยวัยทำงานโดยแบบสำรวจบุคลิกภาพ The leonard personality inventory ในกลุ่มพื้นที่เขตพาณิชยกรรมและอุตสาหกรรม
Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to investigate the psychometric
properties of the LEONARD personality inventory (LPI), to find out the
personality of Thai working - aged people living in Bangkoks commercial and
industrial area using LPI profiles. The sample comprised 211 males and 330
females selected using calculated sampling and multi-stage random sampling.
The Cronbachs alpha reliability coefficient of the LEONARD personality
inventory in each factor was between average to high level (0.68 to 0.82). The
average of 5 LPI dimensions were 71.27 - 77.54 and standard deviation scores
were 6.331 - 7.547. The features of people living in Bangkoks commercial and
industrial area were Neutral and Relational dimensions which were classified
to Helpful Encourager, which was friendly, helpful, good listener, be loved, and
calm. On the other hand, the weakness is sensitive, easy to believe others, always
complies with other people in order to avoid conflict, and inappropriate in time
management. The score of male personality in openness factor was higher than
females with statistical significance at .01 level.
Although this study showed that the validity and reliability was suitable
enough to be used to analyze and translate the meaning of the LPI Profile further,
this inventory could not describe Thai personality thoroughly, and about 40
percent showed unspecific feature. Therefore, bringing the LPI to be alternative
assessment for Thais, should take into account their beliefs, attitudes and culture.
