Abstract:
This study evaluated the sports competition management of the Supreme Command Headquarters. It reviewed aspects of problems and obstacles met with and presents suggestions for rectification. The concepts come from Management and Execution, 4 Ms theory (Man, Money, Management, Material) and CIPP Evaluation (Context, Input, Process and Product). The research used in-depth interview and questionnaires to collect information from the sample population. The sample population consisted of: one member of the Board of Directors, 8 Executive Board members, 350 sportsmen and team managers. From the study of environment it was found that the Supreme Command had prepared everything suitable for the internal sports competition and there were meetings held of the Managing Board to respond to the policy and implement practice and manage the sports competition well within the time allotted. In studying the factors of input and process it was found that the Supreme Command had prepared sufficient and suitable personnel, budget, venue, sports materials and equipment's and other conveniences. On the matter of problems and obstacles it was found that the assignment of duties was not efficient. As the number of personnel was limited, one person was responsible for many things. Advance payment of money did not go according to the plan of the committee members. The materials used for competition were neither modern nor according to the standard. Considering the factors of the results and effects, it was found that the sportsmen and the team mangers were quite satisfied with the internal sports competition of the supreme Command to a high level. On the effects of the internal sports competition of the Supreme Command, it was found that there were social effects on sports development, sportsmen, and management of sports. Suggestions are that there should be instructions to develop knowledge and ability of the personnel responsible for the management of the competition and
arrange for a seminar for the various units involved to make them aware of the importance and request their cooperation in sports competitions.
