The development of web database system for minerals found in Thailand
Name: Nattakarn Boonpunga
LCSH:
Web databases
Abstract:
This research aimed to develop a web database system for minerals found in
Thailand. The objectives were to retrieve and manipulate data via the Internet. The
application consists of two parts: information retrieval system and data management
system containing information about 160 types of minerals in Thailand. This
application can search the mineral names in Thai language or English language or
can search for the information, created by the researcher, under a given topic. The
administrator can also manipulate data, insert, edit, and delete by typing the
username and password to access the database system.
The application is designed and developed using the relational database
management system. The software includes MySQL as a Database Management
System, Macromedia Dreamweaver MX as the Graphic User Interface, Apache as a
web server, and Professional Home Page as an interface between web server and
database.
Abstract:
Professional Home Page (PHP)
Database
