Abstract: วิซินัลไดแอนไอออน 2a-c เตรียมได้จากปฏิกิริยาระหว่าง α-aroylsuccinic ester 1a-c กับ LDA 2 equivalents ใน THF และได้ศึกษาปฏิกิริยาระหว่างไดแอนไอออน 2a-c นี้กับอะโรมาติกอัลดีไฮด์พบว่า จะได้สารประกอบแกมมาบิวทิลโรแลคโทน3 หรือสารประกอบไดไฮโดรฟิวแรน 4 ขึ้นอยู่กับสภาวะในการทำปฏิกิริยา และพบว่า major isomer ของแกมมาบิวทิลโรแลคโทน 3 และไดไฮโดรฟิวแรน 4 เป็นแบบtrans,cis- และ cis-isomer ตามลำดับ นอกจากนี้ได้ทำการสังเคราะห์สารประกอบฟิวแรน 5 และสารประกอบฟิวโรฟิวแรน 6 โดยใช้ไดไฮโดรฟิวแรน 4 เป็นสารตั้งต้นในการทำปฏิกิริยา (Formula)

Abstract: The vicinal dianions 2a-c could be easily generated by treatment of the corresponding starting a-aroylsuccinic esters 1a-c with 2 equivalents of LDA in THF. The reactions of these dianions with aromatic aldehydes in the presence of ZnCl2 afforded g-butyrolactones 3 in moderate to good yields. In the absence of ZnCl2, the reactions provided mixtures of cis- and trans-dihydrofurans 4 after treatment of the obtained adducts with p-TsOH. The trans,cis-isomer of g-butyrolactones 3 and the cis-isomer of dihydrofurans 4 were obtained as the major isomers. cis-Dihydrofurans 4 could be used as the starting materials for syntheses of furans 5 and diaxial furofurans 6
