Abstract:
The objective of this thesis is to study the personnels opinions about the administrative function of Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University Under the Royal Patronage Pathum Thani, with the emphasis on the dependent variables of personnels individual factors: sex, age, education, work experience, together with their work status as permanent teaching personnel or contract teaching personnel. Also, the independent variables are the personnels opinions of working factors studied on planning, organizing, commanding, coordinating, and controlling. Estimated scale questionnaires with reliability at .8915 have been gathered from 250 educational staff, 148 permanent teaching personnel and 102 contract teaching personnel. Then,the statistics of percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test and F-test analysis have been used through the computerized program with the research hypothesis tested at .05 level of significance and variance by Tukey.
The results are as follows:
1. The overall opinions of permanent teaching personnel and contract teaching personnel about the practice followed to the administrative function of the university are at the medium level. In particular study, however, the permanent teaching personnels mean is highest on organizing and lowest on controlling while the contract teaching personnels mean is highest on organizing and lowest on planning.
2. The comparisons of personnels opinions about the administrative function of
the university classified by individual factors sex, age, education, and work experience and work status permanent teaching personnel or contract teaching personnel are as follows:
2.1 According to sex, male personnels and female personnels overall and
particular opinions about the administrative function are significantly different at .05 level.
2.2 According to age, different ages of personnel have no different opinions
about the administrative function overall and particularly.
2.3 According to education, different educational backgrounds of personnel have no different opinions about the administrative function overall and particularly.
2.4 According to work experience, personnel with different work experiences have no different overall opinions about the administrative function. However, in particular study, the opinions on planning of personnel with less than 12 years experience and those with more than 24 years experience are significantly different at .05 level while their opinions on organizing, commanding, coordinating, and controlling are not different.
2.5 According to work status, personnel with different work status have no different opinions about the administrative function both overall and particularly.
