Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to study job satisfaction of employee and compare job satisfaction of employee by personal factors such as gender, age, civil status, educational attainment, working experiences, income and department. The samples in selected the study are from 301 employees. The statistic used for data analysis were percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t - test and F - test at the .05 level of significant.
The finding were as follows :
1. The level of job satisfaction of employee as a whole and each aspects were high except
work itself, company policy and administration, supervision technical, interpersonal relation superior subordinate peer, working conditions, job security were moderate.
2. Comparing job satisfaction of customs officer .
2.1 Gender, age compared : Job satisfaction of employee as a whole and each aspect have no significant difference.
2.2 Age, working experiences compared : Job satisfaction of employee has no significant difference except salary and benefit which have significant difference at the .05 level.
2.3 Educational attainment compared : Job satisfaction of employee as a whole and each aspects have significant difference at the .05 level except achievement, recognition, responsibility, company policy and administration, interpersonal relation superior subordinate peer, working conditions, job security, salary and benefit have have nosignificant difference.
2.4 Income compared : Job satisfaction of employee as a whole and each aspects have significant difference at the .05 level except achievement, recognition, work itself, supervision technical, interpersonal relation superior subordinate peer, working conditions have no significant difference.
2.5 Department compared : Job satisfaction of employee as a whole and each aspects have no significant difference except advancement, company policy and administration, supervision technical had significant difference at the .05 level.
