Abstract:
The purposes of the research were' (1) to develop the efficient Computer Assisted Instruction for remedial in AC electric circuit theory for Vocational Certificate students of the first year' (2) to compare the AC electric circuit theory achievement prior and after learning by using the developed Computer Assisted Instruction' and (3) to compare the AC electric circuit theory achievement students, studying individually and the students, studying in pairs. The subjects were 30 vocational certificate students of the first year from Kanchanaburi technical college, Amphur Muang, Kanchanaburi province. They were classified into two groups : 10 students were selected randomly and 20 students were manipulated in pairs, selected from the pararelled scores of 10 students. Research instruments were the computer assisted instruction and the achievement test in AC electric circuit. The achievement test comprised 45 items possessing the degree of difficulty ranging from 0.24-0.73, the degree of discrimination between 0.25-0.75 and reliability coefficient of 0.90. To examine the efficiency of the computer assisted instruction, the 70/70 standard criterion was used. The Wilcoxon test for dependent samples was also employed to compare the students achievement prior and after learning with the Computer Assisted Instruction. The Mann Whitney test was employed to compare the students achievement, studying individually and the students achievement, studying in pairs. The results of the research revealed that: 1. The efficiency of the computer assisted instruction was 73.45/73.33. 2. The achievement in AC Electric circuit of student after using the computer assisted instruction was statistical significant higher than that of the students prior to using the computer assisted instruction at .01 level. 3. There was no statistical different between the students achievement studying with computer assisted instructional individually and the students achievement, studying in pairs.
