Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to determine the pharmacy students' opinion on the environment and the teaching-learning management, and to compare the opinion on the environment and teaching-learning management of pharmacy students who were different in gender, class standing, and grade point average. The samples were 226 of pharmacy students in Chulalongkorn University of the 2002 academic year, which were selected by stratified random sampling. The 50 items of 5 rated rating scale questionnaire, which was used to collect the data on the environment concerning physical environment, psychological and society environment, which had the reliability of 0.928. The 50 items of 5 rated rating scale questionnaire, which was also used for data collection on teaching-learning management concerning curriculum and contents, teaching-learning activities, personality of teacher, and course evaluation, which had the reliability of 0.913. The data were analyzed by using SPSS for Windows (Statistical Package for the Social Science of Windows) program. The research finding were as follows: (1) For the environment, the students' opinion on physical environment aspect and overall were at a medium level, and their opinion on psychological and society environment aspect were at a high level. For the teaching-learning management, the students' opinion on curriculum and content, and course evaluation aspect were at a medium level, and their opinion on teaching-learning activities, personality of teacher, and overall were at a high level. (2) Pharmacy students with different gender, grade point average had no difference at 95% confidence interval, of their opinion on environment and teaching-learning management in each aspects and overall. Pharmacy students with different class standing had no difference, at 95% confidence interval, of their opinion on environment in each aspects and overall. But they had statistically significant differences at .05 level of their opinion on teaching-learning management in curriculum and content, evaluation aspects, and overall.
