Instructional conditions of the two-year continuing programs leading to the Bachelor of industrial education of the Department of Agricultural Education In King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang.
Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to study the condition of the two - year continuing programs leading to the bachelor of Industrial Education in agricultural education degree of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. The study had evaluated all students' opinions towards this matter both an overall program and individual course, which were related to students' major. The population of this research was one hundred and nine of the second year under graduate students in the agricultural education program at King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. Constructed questionnaires were the tool for gathering data. All data were processed through SPSS for Windows 7.5.1 and being analized by using frequency counts, weighted mean score and standard deviation. The results of research found that population of men and women were equal. Most of them were in the age of 22, and earned Diploma. The main subject of study of them was the agricultural technology in animal science, and their GPA was in the range of 2.51 to 3.00 About one-third of them had their utmost future career was to be a teacher at public and/or private schools. The study showed the condition of the two-year continuing programs leading to the bachelor of Industrial Education in agricultural education degree of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang was suitable at the much level as a whole. When considering into details there were 3 categories scoring at the much level, consisting of the arrangement of instructors, the students, and the instructional media. Other three, which were at the moderate level, were the arrangement of the educational measurement and evaluation, the methods of teaching-learning and involved activities, and the subject matter content. For the arrangement of the instructors, the study pointed out that the students were satisfied at the much level. When considering into details of provided items, they were rated at the much level. Except the process of revision before teaching the next lesson, which was considered at the moderate level. For the arrangement of the students, it was rated at the much level. Many of detailled items were at the much level while some of them were at the moderate level. For the arrangement of subjects' content, its overall was at the moderate level. The majority provided their opinions on each item at the much and the moderate levels. For the arrangement of the instructional media, an overall was at the much level. Most of opinions on each item were at the much level, while a few was at the moderate level. For the arrangement of the educational measurement and evaluation, it was at the moderate level as a whole. But the consideration on each items, they were at the much and the moderate levels. The recommendations, based on this research were that the Agricultural Education Department should develop the methods of teaching and always evaluate teaching and learning results for improving and leading subject matter content up to date. The instructional media should be modern and efficient. Moreover, students should be trained under the real environment and absorpting or having teachers' attitude So that they are ready and intend to be teachers when they are graduated.
