Abstract:
Today, Information Technology has become to be a part of people's life such ad an administration field, a management field, an education field and etc. If we can use the IT to apply in a building management system, and other related fields. It would be decreased time to takes and improves an efficiency of an opration when we compared with the straight forward apporach. The aim of this thesis is apply the IT to use in the Building Management Section of KMITL. This cause of Development of Building Information System Program For King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. The objectives of this research are 1. To develop an information management system for the maintenance division. 2. To compare an efficiency of a new system, a thesis purpose, with the existing one. 3. To study a satisfaction of system users. The sample group to study the second objective is consistent with the distinct operation: 1) Maintenance 2) Room Reservation. The specifically selected groups of the former operation are the maintenance divisions of a faculty of Industrial Education, a faculty of Science and Computer Research and Service Centre (CRSC) whose functions are to keep up a electric, a pipe, a telephone and an air-condition system along with management the parking lot and curb. These three divisions are chosen because the existing computer system suitable for the proposed information management system. A computer laboratory of CRSC is specifically chosen for its availability of the computer system. The sample group to study the third objective is the officials in the maintenance divisions of a faculty of Industrial Education, a faculty of Science, CRSC and a Computer Service Section of CRSC administrator. The research leads to the summarization that 1. The information management system is developed by using Delphi4 with functions that comply with the needs of the maintenance division. 2. The developed system is superior to the existing system in its efficiency. 3. Users of the new system show their high satisfaction on the system.
