Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to determine the awareness of environmental problemsconcerning water, air, noise and waste of students in Faculty of Science King Mongkut's Instituteof Technology Ladkrabang and to compare the awareness of these environmental problems of thestudents who were difference in gender, department and class standing. The samples were 322 Faculty of Science King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabangstudents of the 2002 academic year, were selected by stratified random sampling. The 40 itemsof 5 rated rating scale questionnaire were used to conduct this research on the awareness oflenvironmental problems. The reliability of the questionnaire was 0.804. The data was analyzedby using SPSS for Windows (Statistical Package for the Social Science for Windows) program. The research findings were as follows: (1) Students had environmental problems awareness in each aspect namely water, air, noise,waste and overall at a high level. (2) Students with different gender had shown no differences at 95 % confident in environmentalproblems awareness in water, air, noise, waster aspects and overall. (3) Students with different department had statistically significant difference at .05 level inenvironmental problems awarencess in water and overall but the rest had shown no differences at95 % confident. (4) Students with different class standing had statistically significant differences at .05 levelin environmental problems awareness in water, but air, noise, waste aspects and overall hadshown no differences at 95 % confident.
