Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to study and compare opinions among staff officers on personnel management in autonomous university of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. Eight aspects comprised the acquisition of personnel, the development of personnel, the maintenance of personnel, the dismissal of personnel, the rewards (payment, salary), the benefits and welfares, the assignment of payment terms and evaluation processes, and the transfer to the new system. The sample consisted of 396 lectures and supporting lecturers of King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang. Questionnaires were used to collect data on five scales. The data were analysed by the SPSS for window with percentage, mean and standard deviation and t-test F-test and Scheff?s for testing the difference between groups. The research finding were : 1 Opinions on of staff officers personal management were high levels on all aspects. 2. The comparison of between lecturers and supporting lecturers were significant differences as a whole and all eight aspects. 3. To compare the age of officers were found not significant different in a whole opinion and all eight aspects. 4. In comparing faculties and staffs were found significantly different in a whole opinion, there were significant differences in the acquisition of personnel, the development of personnel, the demissal of personnel, the reward (payment and salary), the transfer to new system offer aspects were not found different. 5. These were significant differences in some aspects which were the acquisition in personnel, the dismissal of personnel and the reward (payment and salary) in comparing staff opinions of each faculty. The research found that all of staff officers of King Mongkut's Institute of Technolgy Ladkrabang have agreed on the recruitment for president and the the test should be used in acquiring officers the training, seminars, and study are needed as an access for personnel to a higher level. The chief should have vitues in evaluating persons in his department. The rewards are in forms of both payment and salary based on evaluation which focuses on knowledge, ability, and working experience. The council of university should create committees to evaluate their administrator. The welfare is cure an illness and pay for academics for sons. The payment condition should be in the form of permanent contract the transfer to new system should maintain the status of officers in terms of salary and privilege.
