Abstract:
This study was prompted by a desire to help L2 learners improve confidence, motivation, and to encourage communication in English. Before integrating Crosstalk, it was necessary to see if Thai adults perceived Crosstalk as a good way to learn English, enjoyed it, found it interesting and had good comprehension during Crosstalk. Ten participants attended ten one-hour Crosstalk meetings. Data was collected using questionnaires and personal interviews. Participants felt Crosstalk was a good way to learn English, and wanted to continue using it. Participants reported they enjoyed Crosstalk, found it interesting and felt more confident to communicate in English. Emergent themes from the findings indicated potential for Crosstalk as an aid for learners wishing to acquire L2 implicitly as they did their L1.
