Abstract:
The research aims to study and compare quality of life of accountants in Bangkok; bookkeepers and auditors. Samples were 286 bookkeepers and 370 auditors. A questionnaire was used to collect data 13 aspect; housing and facilities, health and medical care, marriage and family, work and attitude to work, income, safety, cocial involvement, job progress and success, adaptation and, professional ethics. Data was analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation. Mean differences were applied t-test and hypothesis testing with 6 factors, gender, age, educational status, work status, work experience and, marital status were done by the one way Analysis of Variance at significant level 0.05.The results show that of the samples were female, 30-39 years of age, single, bachelor degree, being officers and 1-10 years working experience. Quality of life in marriage and family aspects is low. Quality of life in the following aspects is moderate; housing and facilities, health medical care, work and attitude to work, income and social involvement. Quality of life in the following aspects is excellent; safety, job progress and success, adaptation and, professional ethics. The auditors' quality of life is better than that of bookkeepers. The hypothesis testing confirms that quality of life differs among factors. Gender: male possesses better quality of life than female does. Age: the quality of life of the groups of 30-39 and 50 up years of age is better than that of 20-29 years of age. Education: the quality of life of the groups with master and bachelor degrees is higher than that of the groups with vocational certificates. Job title: the quality of life of the groups with 11-20 and 31-40 years of work experience is higher than that of the groups with 1-10 and 21-30 years of work experience. Marial status: the quality of lives of bachelors and widows is higher than that of the divorces. The quality of life of the married is better than that of bachelors.
