Abstract:
This research is to investigate the implementation of E-export document trade link of Bank of Siam Company Limited and to evaluate whether the E-export trade link system can improve the competitiveness of the export section of the bank. The research will focus on two aspects. The first aspect is the implementation of the system and then studying target customers who are exporters trading with Japan (under the pilot project). The reason is that there is no complication and overlapping in document proparation. Generally, the required documents are Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading/Sea Waybill, and the other are documents issued by exporters on the basis of the agreement. The secound aspect is the Letter of Credit permitted to be presented in the form of E-document subject to the EUCP rules. The sample of the study consisted of the export trading officers of the bank and the exporters (customers). A set of questionnaires was used in collecting the data were then analyzed to make the summary.The ressearch finding indicate that the E-export trading link system can reduce the cost of service fees and the time in sending the documents. It is beneficial to both the exporters and the bank. The benefits to the exporters are reduction of the expense in sending documents, reduction of time in visiting the bank, the documents reading the destination more quickly, and thus, the exporters being able to get paid quicker. The benefits to the bank are promoting a good image, providing a new kind service, preventing the loss of documents, protecting the damage of documents arising from the authorities' working steps, reducing steps of working procedure, reducting the paper cost, having more space in the working place, and providing more time extension in document delivery service.
