Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to study the problems of and the needs for adult basic education of schools in the factories in Bangkok Metropolitan area and its suburbs. The sample of this study consisted of 14 factory officers, 14 teachers in nonformal education and 147 factory workers. The instruments used in collecting the data were a rating-scale questionnaire and the open-end questions. The statistical devices used in analyzing the data were percentage. means, standard deviation and t-test.The results of this research were :1. The problems in educational management and services for adult basic education of schools in the factories of Bangkok and its suburbs as a whole were rated at a moderate level.2. The needs for educational management and services for adult basic education of schools in the factories of Bangkok and its suburbs as a whole were rated at a mederate level.3. The problems in educational management and services for adult basic education of schools in the factories of Bangkok and its suburbs as a whole were found nonsignificantly different at .05 level, when classified by factory workers and teachers in nonformal education.4. The needs for educational management and services for adult basic education of schools in the factories of Bangkok and its suburbs as a whole were found nonsignificantly different at .05 level, when classified by factory workers and teachers in nonformal education.
