Abstract: การวิจัยนี้มีความมุ่งหมายเพื่อศึกษาหลักสูตรรายวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ทั่วไปของมหาวิทยาลัยหอการค้าไทย เกี่ยวกับ จุดมุ่งหมาย ลักษณะของเนื้อหาสาระของหลักสูตรสภาพและปัญหาของการเรียนการสอน การประเมินผล และประโยชน์ที่ได้รับภายหลังการเรียน รายวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ทั่วไป โดยทำการวิจัยกับประชากร อาจารย์ผู้สอนวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ทั่วไป 12 ท่าน กลุ่มตัวอย่างนักศึกษาที่เรียนและผ่านรายวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ทั่วไปเมื่อภาคเรียนที่ 1 ปีการศึกษา 2535 จำนวน 84 คน เป็นแบบสอบถามคืนได้ร้อยละ 77.40 และกลุ่มตัวอย่างนักศึกษาที่กำลังเรียนรายวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ทั่วไปภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2535 จำนวน 56 คน เก็บแบบสอบถามคืนได้ร้อยละ 100 เครื่องมือที่ใช้เป็นแบบสอบถามมาตราส่วนประมาณค่าตามแบบลิเคิร์ท ทำการวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้โปรแกรม SPSS/PC+ นำเสนอข้อมูลในร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ย ค่าเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐานผลการวิจัยพบว่า1. อาจารย์ผู้สอนมีประสบการณ์ในการสอนมานาน มีจำนวนมาก ในการทำผลงานด้านวิชาการมีกระทำอยูบ้าง2. จุดมุ่งหมายของวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ทั่วไปที่สำคัญคือ การเป็นประโยชน์ต่อการดำรงชีวิต การให้มีสติปัญญากว้างขวางขึ้น การเข้าใจเรื่องและปัญหาของสังคมที่เกี่ยวข้องกับวิทยาศาสตร์ดีขึ้น3. ลักษณะของเนื้อหาวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ทั่วไปควรเป็นความรู้กว้าง ๆ ทางวิทยาศาสตร์ ที่มีประโยชน์ต่อการดำรงชีวิตประจำวัน มีความสัมพันธ์กับสังคมและสิ่งแวดล้อม4. สภาพทั่วไปของการเรียนการสอนพว่าทั้งผู้เรียนและผู้สอนมีความพร้อม สำหรับรายวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ทั่วไป5. ปัญหาที่พบก็คือการที่ผู้สอนมีจำนวนมาก ปัญหาเรื่องระบบเสียงส่วนการสอนโดยการบรรยายประกอบเรื่องฉายภาพนิ่งเป็นวิธีที่ดี6. การประเมิรผลพบว่ามีการประเมินหลังการเรียนด้วยข้อสอบปรนัยซึ่งมีความสอดคล้องกับจุดมุ่งหมาย และเนื้อหา7. ประโยชน์ที่ได้รับจากการเรียน คือทำให้ผู้เรียนมีสติปัญญากว้างขวางและนำไปใช้ประโยชน์ได้ในชีวิตประจำวัน8. หัวข้อต่าง ๆ ที่ได้เรียนในรายวิชาวิทยาศาสตร์ทั่วไปส่วนใหญ่มีประโยชน์

Abstract: The purpose of this research was to a study the general sciences course curriculum of the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce. Seven items, the objective, the aspect of subject matter in the course, the studying instructing conditions and problems, the estimation and the advantages after studying natural science were considered in this case study.Twelve natural science lecturers and 84 students who passed the course in the first semester of 1992 academic year were sampling to answer questionnaires. And 77.40% of the questionnaires were returned. And 56 students who had been studying natural science in the second semester of 1992 academic year had also been sampling. And 100% of the questionnaires were returned. The instruments in this study was Likert-type questionnaire with 0.81 confident level. The data were analysed by SPSS/PC+ program and presented in the terms of percentage, mean, and standard deviation.The results revealed :1. There were many experience lectures who have lectured for years. Some of them produced research works or publication papers.2. The important objectives of natural science were to be useful for life, it made students think wisely and made them understand various points of social science problems.3. The aspect of subject matter in natural science should be general, widely usable in daily life and related to the environment and society.4. For the general condition in class, it was found that both the lecturers and students were rready to lecture or study natural science.5. The problems found were that many lecturers had difficulty with the sound system. While the using of over head projector in lecturing was a good way in class.6. For the evaluation after studying, it was found that the multiple-choice questions in examination-paper was suitable and related to the points of objective and subject-matter.7. The advantage from studying natural science was that it made students wise in general topics and it was usable in daily life.8. Most topics in natural science were useful.
