The relationship between corporate culture and leadership styles of Thai middle managers in Korean multinational coporation's company in the eastern region of Thailand
Abstract:
The purposes of this study were to determine the relationship between corporate culture and leadership styles of the Thai-middle-range mangers of the South Korean Multinational corporation in the Eastern region of Thailand. The sample used in this study consisted of 229 Thai middle-rang managers who in oversea South Korean companies in the Eastern region of Thailand. The instrument implemented in collecting the data was a set of five-level rating scale questionnaires. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regressions.The results revealed that the corporate culture of the Thai middle-range managers were described as following ; interpersonal relationship, sense of belonging and seniority, respectively. The leadership styles were described as following ; bureaucrat, compromiser and autocrat.Correlation showed the relationship between corporate culture and leadership styles as following; bureaucrat was related to long term employment and hard working (r=0.921, .412), benevolent autocrat was related to interpersonal relationship (r=0.406), autocrat was related to seniority and sense of belonging (r=0.901, 0.320) and compromiser was related to muscularity (r=0.864) with statistical significance (p<0.01)
