Abstract: การวิจัยครั้งนี้ เพื่อศึกษาผลของการเยี่ยมผู้ป่วยก่อนผ่าตัดโดยพยาบาลห้องผ่าตัดต่อระดับความวิตกกังวลและความพึงพอใจของผู้ป่วยที่รอรับการผ่าตัด กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือ ผู้ป่วยที่รอเข้ารับการผ่าตัดด้านศัลยกรรม สูตินารีเวช หรือ ออร์โธปิดิกส์ โดยได้รับการระงับความรู้สึกทั่วร่างกาย หรือได้รับยาชาทางช่องไขสันหลัง ณ โครงการจัดตั้งศูนย์วิทยาศาสตร์สุขภาพ มหาวิทยาลัยบูรพา จำนวน 40 คน เลือกกลุ่มตัวอย่างแบบเจาะจง แล้วทำการจับฉลากเข้ากลุ่มทดลองและกลุ่มควบคุมกลุ่มละ 20 คน จัดให้ทั้ง 2 กลุ่ม มีลักษณะใกล้เคียงกันมากที่สุดในเรื่องอายุ ประสบการณ์การผ่าตัด ส่วนกลุ่มควบคุมไม่ได้รับการเยี่ยม เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบสอบถามความวิตกกังวลของ Spielberger(1963) STAI Form Y และแบบสอบถามความพึงพอใจที่ผู้วิจัยสร้างขึ้น ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ผู้ป่วยในกลุ่มทดลองที่ได้รับการเยี่ยม และกลุ่มที่ไม่ได้รับการเยี่ยม มีความวิตกกังวลแตกต่างกันอย่างไม่มีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ ที่ระดับ .05 แต่คะแนนความวิตกกังวลของกลุ่มทดลองน้อยกว่ากลุ่มควบคุมและผู้ป่วยกลุ่มทดลองมีความพึงพอใจโดยภาพรวมอยู่ในระดับพอใจมากต่อการเยี่ยมโดยพยาบาลห้องผ่าตัด ทั้งด้านพยาบาลผู้ที่เข้าเยี่ยมและด้านข้อมูลที่ได้รับ อย่างไรก็ตามการศึกษานี้มีข้อเสนอแนะว่า ควรกำหนดรูปแบบการเยี่ยมผู้ป่วยก่อนผ่าตัด โดยพยาบาลห้องผ่าตัดเพื่อลดความวิตกกังวลและเพิ่มความพึงพอใจและเพื่อประเมินปัญหาและความต้องการทั้งด้านสภาพร่างกายและจิตใจของผู้ป่วยก่อนผ่าตัด เพื่อที่จะนำไปใช้ในการวางแผนการพยาบาลในห้องผ่าตัดได้ ดังนั้นผู้ป่วยในรายที่มีข้อบ่งชี้ชัดเจนว่าต้องเข้ารับการผ่าตัด ควรนอนพักในโรงพยาบาลเพื่อรอรับการผ่าตัด ที่หอผู้ป่วยอย่างน้อย 1 วัน

Abstract: The Purpose of this study was to examine the effect of pre-operative visit by perioperative nurse on the anxiety level ans satisfaction of the patients. The sample consisted of forty surgical, obstetrics and orthopedics patients waiting for surgical prosedure at Health Science Center, Burapha University. The sample were divided into experimental and control groups. Subjects in both groups were matched according to the age, experience of operation and trait anxiety.Subject in experimental group were visited at one hour prior to surgery by perioperative nurse.The control group was not visited.Questionaires about anxiety and safisfaction were conducted to collect data in experimental group.Only Questionaire about anxiety was used in control group.The result of this study revealed that the anxiety of subjects in the experimental group had high level of satisfaction about perioperative nurse and information. This study suggested that perioperative nurse should visit the surgical patients before surgery in order to redue patients anxiety and increase patients satisfaction.To improve quality of care and continuity of care, periorative nurse should have enough time to conduct and effective assesment related to the patient's problem and needs, prior to surgery, therefore, the pre-operative patient may haveto admit ad lease oneday prior to surgery
