Abstract:
This research was aimed at the efficiency monitoring of full scale UASB for waste water treatment from sea food industries during ; start up at the organic loading rate 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 2.5, 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 kg COD/m3/dfor organic removal, biogas yield, sludge wash out, Setting velocity andquantity of sludge in the reactor research objectives and methodology.As the result of the study it was found that the system had the maximum value of efficiency of organic removal at the loading rate 4.0 kg COD/m3/d approximate 73.33 % At the organic loading rate 4.0 kg COD/m3/d it had the maximum value of efficiency of biogas yield, approximate 971.33 m3/dQuantity of sludge wash out from reactor tank had the maximum value at organic loading 2.0 kg COD/m3/d approximate 532.33 mg/l. Setting velocity of sludge at 40 m/hr or more had the maximum value at 4.5 kg COD/m3/d approximate 75.67%Setting Velocity of sludge less than 40 m/hr had the maximum value at 0.5 kg COD/m3/d, approximate 83.33% Quantity of sludge at every height in the reactor had the maximum value at organic loading 4.5 kg COD/m3/d and quantity of sludge at every organic loading had the maximum value at 0.3 meter from the bed of the reactor tank.
