Abstract:
This research has the objective 1) to study quality of life according to sufficiency economy; 2) to study Quality of Work Life; 3) to study the correlations between quality of life according to sufficiency economy and quality of work Life; 4) to study quality of life according to sufficiency economy classified according to individual factors; and 5) to study quality of work life according to the personal factors. The sample group is 230 employees (the officer level) in TMB Bank Public Company Limited. The questionnaire is a tool used in collecting the information; the analysis of the information is by means of finished computer program; the material statistical significance is determined at 0.05. The statistics used in the analysis of the information are the percentage value, the average value, the standard variant value, One-way ANOVA and Pearson Correlation Coefficient; the Z-test and the analysis of the ANOVA F-test value followed by double comparison with the LSD method.
The findings of this study are as follows:
1. Employees in TMB Bank Public Company Limited have the level of interaction with quality of life according to sufficiency economy at the much level. It was found that considering the individual aspects, it was found that the aspect of reasonableness, knowledge and virtues are at the much level; meanwhile in terms of the aspect of adequacy and good self-immunity, it is at the medium level. Individual factor affecting quality of life according to sufficiency economy with material statistical significance is sex; while the factors which do not have any effect are age, education level, marital status, monthly income, level of job position and employment period.
2. Employees in TMB Bank Public Company Limited had satisfaction with the quality of work life at the medium level; as it was found that the intra-organization relationship was at the much level; whereas the aspects of remuneration, security and work progress; the working safety and working environment and the social feedback are at the medium level. For the individual factor having correlation to the quality of work life with material statistical significance in this study is monthly income; for the factors with no effects are sex, age, education level, marital status, the level of job position, employment period.
3. The treatment towards quality of life according to sufficiency economy and the quality of work life of the employees in TMB Bank Public Company Limited had the correlation at 0.05 level of material statistical significance with the correlative coefficient value equal to 0.430.
Recommendations : There should be improved the level of satisfaction with the quality of work life in terms of remuneration by considering the improvement to be made on the criteria of the salary system management by defining the salary scale for each job position depending on the complexity of the job and scope of responsibility; the criteria of assessment in readjustment of salary including the reduction of overlapping of different salary base after the merger and acquisition of the bank by three
