Quality of life according to sufficiency economy and quality of work life of credit 1 department - credit 4 department of small and medium enterprice development banl of Thailand in head office
Abstract:
This research has the objective to study the quality of life in line with the sufficiency economy and quality of working life and the relationship between the quality of life according to the philosophy of the sufficiency economy and the quality of working life; including the quality of life according to the sufficiency economy classified according to individual factors of members of the staff of the Credit 1 Department, the SME Development Bank of Thailand. The sample of study population is 272 persons; the questionnaire is used in collecting the information; the statistics used in the analysis of the information are the percentage value, the average value, the standard variant value and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient.
The results of the research are that members of the staff of the Credit 1 - 4 Departments of the SME Development Bank of Thailand had the most quality of life according the line of the sufficiency economy in terms of virtues; and had the lowest quality of life in line with the sufficiency economy in terms of good self - immunity and the most satisfaction in the quality of working life in aspect of the intra - organization relationship; secondly, it was the satisfaction in the aspect of social response; while they had the lowest satisfaction in the safety and working environment.
Regarding the quality of life in line with the sufficiency economy classified according to individual factors, it was found that there was variance in the individual factor in aspect of sex, age, education, status and income; they had the variant quality of life in line with the sufficiency economy; while the other factors were not variant of material statistical significance at the level of 0.05; and the quality of working life classified according to individual factors, it was found that that the variance in the individual factor was in the aspect of sex, age, education, status; they had variant quality of working life in the aspect of intra - relationship and remuneration; as regards other factors, they had no variance of material statistical significance at the level of 0.05.
Recommendations :
The aspect of the quality of life in line with the sufficiency economy.
The findings of the study are that the average value in the aspect of good self - immunity is at the medium level. As for other aspects, the average value is at the very much level. However, it is recommended that the Bank should enhance more increased knowledge and understanding in the theory of the sufficiency economy than it previously was. This is to enhance profound understanding by the members of the staff so that they could apply the knowledge to the development of practical guidelines as to create good self - immunity to prevent or reduce the level of severity of various problems that may happen in the future. This is to enable the members of the staff to be more prepared to meet various problems.
Aspect of the quality of working life
The results of the study find that they had lesser average value in terms of safety and the working environment. As for other aspects, they had the average value at the medium level. This shows that the Bank should make improvement on the aspect of security and working environment for its personnel, i.e., building premises. At the present, it has the limitation in terms of relocation to new office, which it will be temporary. As such the general environment will yet need improvement as well as on the morale of the employees. These factors will have impact on working atmosphere; for instance, welfare benefits the employees should receive. The Bank should try to solve these problems to restore the morale of the employees so as to further create good working environment.
