Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to study (1) operational conditions and problems of community liquor business;(2) opinion of customer to community liquor in Surin province; and (3) the research findings was used to develop operational ability of community business. Quality research as in depth interview was used in this study. The sample was 1 liquor business group in Surin Province.
Result indicated that functional structure and accountability had been used for organizational management. However, Most of group members did not fully work as functional assignment. Nevertheless, the most important of marketing aspect was unenough market for buying the product, lack of distributive channels and sales promotional strategies. Also, production aspect of a group showed its inability to procure manufacturing factors from locality. The total cost of production was 26.22 baht per unit, cost of marketing was 26.35 baht per unit and cost of management was 2.75 baht per unit In addition, gap price was found to be rather low when compared with sale price. Similarly, lack of liquidity, working capital for operating and accounting standard system for financial budget auditing were the major problems of financial aspect. Moreover, in term of consumed opinions regarding group product were found to be difficult indicating that there was no distributive channels and lack of sales promotional strategies.
Therefore, direction of ability development for community business operation were knowledgeable and competent development for functional operation, marketable channel network development in order to enhance distributive channels, made distinguishable product for value able addition in order to sell with higher price and working capital for operating including accountancy system setting for obviously controllable system. Way of other development may be find other choice such as bringing liquor instead energy or produce instead energy
