Abstract:
The research aimed at studying and comparing opinions of government-employed teachers and administrators regarding ethical behaviors of school administrators in Roi-Et educational service area office. Subjects were 335 government-employed teachers and administrators selected through a multi-staged random sampling. The instrument used for collecting data was a 45-item rating-scale questionnaire with a reliability of 0.91. The statistics used for analyzing data were mean, percentage, standard deviation, and a t-test of hypotheses.
The study revealed that the opinions of the teachers and administrators regarding the ethical behaviors of school administrators in Roi-Et educational service area office were at a high level for both overall and specific. When analyzed according to subjects status, it was found that the teachers opinions of school administrators ethical behaviors were high for both overall and specific areas. In a descending order these were work, personnel, and personal life management the opinions of the administrators, both overall and specific areas, regarding school administrators ethic behaviors were also at a high level but appeared in a different a descending order : personnel, work, and personal life management.
Comparisons of the opinions of the teachers and those of the administrators regarding school administrators, ethical behaviors in the three areas personnel life , personnel, and work indicated that the opinions of the two groups of both overall and specific areas, were significantly different at a 0.05 level with the average mean of the administrators opinions being higher than that of the teachers.
