Abstract:
This research was aimed to evaluate the competencies of Surin Teachers College graduates in Applied Statistics Program emphasizing the principle of product evaluation technique. The data concerned were graduates academic achievement, work follow-up and servey of the opinion of the graduates towards curriculum administration. The results of the study help provide evident informations for the curriculum improvement. The samples group consisted of 12 graduates of Surin Teachers college who graduated in academic year 2533 in Applied Statistics Program and 12 immediate supervisors of the graduates at the present work site. Data were collected by suing Tyler and Welchs strategy of quality and quantity of product evaluation; an achievement test, and questionairs. Preliminary study of graduates informations were implemented by collecting graduates data from the registration department. Criterias of evaluation were stated according to the average of criteria of curriculum implementation of Teachers Education Department. The obtained data wer analyzed by means of percentage, ratio, arithematic means, standard diviation, confident interval of proportion and T-test at the statistics confident at 95%. It was concluded that
1. The graudates had the academic achievement scores from the achievement test at the level of the stated criteria.
2. The educational wastage was at the level of the stated criteria.
3. All the graduates got their work by passing the placement test and they spent less than 6 months to obtain their jobs. Most of them felt satisfy with their works and their work sites were situated in the south of northeast and in Bangkok. The proportion fo graduates having expected amount of salary was at the level of the stated criteria.
4. The average criteria of self-evaluation of graduates was not significantly lower than the evaluation made by the immediate supervisors in all items and the first three level of evaluation cases that both graduates and supervisors had agreed in the asme way were graduates good attitude toward their careers. High level of responsibility and the protection of advantages of the office.
5. The opinion of the graduates towards the curriculum and strategies provided by the college were:
5.1 Well-management in specific subject matters, qualified instructors, proficient time-used in Studying, good relationship between graduates, instructors and academic advisor.
5.2 Must-be improved in laborlatory requirement, educational media, proportion of credit of subject required and opportunity of laborlatory used.
