Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to compare and study the differential effects of jogging time and distance on physical fitness development. The sampling population used in this research were 35 male students and 40 female students in Rajabhat Institute Surin, ages from 18-25 years of edge. The population were devided 5 groups, each consisting of 7 male students and 8 female students. The groups were customed as follows :
Group 1 was the group with no jogging trainning. Training group 2, 3, 4 and 5 were limited to either 15 minutes or 2.5 km., 20 minutes or 3 km., 25 minutes or 3.5 km., 30 minutes or 4 km., respectivley. All training groups jogged 5 days a week for a total duration of 8 weeks. Physical fitness test before and after their training were administered during week 2, 4, 6 and 8. The result of the test were analyzed in term of means, standard deviations, one-way analysis of variance, t-test and percentage of development rate.
The results were

1.1 There was no significant effect shown in the pretest and post-test in 8 items of fitness tests of group 1. The significant difference was at the level of .05.
1.2 There was significant effect shown in the pretest and post-test in 8 itemes of fitness tests of group 2. The significant difference was at the level of .05, that is the 1000 metres men run during weeks 2, 4, 6 and 8
1.3 There was significant effect shown in the pretest and post-test in 8 items of fitness tests of group 2. The significant difference was at the level of .05, that is the 800 metres women run and the 1000 metres men run during weeks 4, 6 and 8.
1.4 There was significant effect shown in the pretest and post-test in 8 items of physical fitness tests of groups 4. The significant difference was at the level of .05, that is the 1000 metres men run during weeks 4 and 6
1.5 Ther was no significant effect shown in the pretest and post-test in 8 items significant difference was at the level of .05.
2. A Study on effect of development after the jogging training
2.1 There was the development in Sit Up in every group. The highest is group 1, at the percentage of 28.36 and the lowest is group 5 at the percentage of 15.19.
2.2 There was the development in Standing Broad Jump in every group. The highest is group 3, at the percentage of 6.17, and the lowest is group 1 at the percentage of 2.83.
2.3 There was the development in Shuttle Run in every group. The highest is group 2, at the percentage of 9.34, and the lowest is group 5 at the percentage of 3.20.
2.4 There was the development in Trunk Forward in every group. The highest is group 4, at the percentage of 8.20, and the lowest is group 5 at the percentage of 2.78.
2.5 There was the development in Grip Strength in every group. The highest is group 1, at the percentage of 8.79, and the lowest is group 4 at the percentage of 3.25.
2.6 There was the development in Women Flex Arm Hang in group 1, 3, and 5. The highest is group 5, at the percentage of 63.59, and the lowest is group 1 at the percentage of 3.55. There was no development in group 2 and 4.
2.7 Here was the development in Men Pull Up in every group. The highest is group 2, at the percentage of 15.64, and the lowest is group 5 at the percentage of 2.94.
2.8 There was the development in 50 Metres Sprint in every group. The highest is group 1, at the percentage of 8.07, and the lowest is group 4 at the percentage of 1.56.
2.9 Theer was the development in 8000 metres Women in every group. The highest is group 5, at the percentage of 16.34, and the lowest is group 1 at the percentage of 8.82.
2.10 There was the development in 1000 Metres Men Run in every group. The highest is group 2, at the percentage of 19.79, and the lowest is group 1 at the percentage of 7.59.
