Abstract:
The purposes of this research were 1) to survey the cheating methods on examination of upper secondary school students in Bangkok. 2) to develop of a causal model of cheating on examination of upper secondary school students in Bangkok, and 3) to study of guidelines for prevention about cheating on examination of upper secondary school students in Bangkok. The research samples consisted of 540 upper secondary school students in Bangkok. Variables consisted of six latent variables; cheating on examination, background factor, moral factor, manage in-class examination, reason factor and motivation factor. These latent variables were measured by eleven observed variables. The research data were collected by questionnaires and analyzed by employing descriptive statistics, Pearsons product-moment correlation coefficient, LISREL analysis and content analysis. The research finding were as follows: 1. The upper secondary school students in Bangkoks cheating methods on examination were study a psychological profile of their teacher for benefit about cheating on examination, allows his/her friend to be copy answer sheets and size up a characteristic of their teacher to planning about cheating on examination. 2. The causal model of cheating on examination of upper secondary school students in Bangkok was valid and fit to the empirical data. (Chi-square=33.48; df=26; p=0.15; GFI=0.989; AGFI=0.972 and RMR=0.02). The causal model consisted of variable having direct effect. Among these variables, manage in-class examination factor had the highest direct effect to the upper secondary school students in Bangkoks cheating on examination. 3. The guidelines to prevent the examination cheating of upper secondary school students in Bangkok , consisted of the notification of penalty and the actual enforcement, strict and efficient test administration, stipulation of clear learning objects and goals and instill the royalty to students.
