Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to study the factors affecting to e-learning disciplinary of masters degree students in Cultural Management program, Chulalongkorn University. There two factors in this research are the External factors : Student background, Media and Study environment; and the Internal factors : Attitude in discipline, Learning Behavior, Reinforcement, Self-Efficacy, Attitude in e-learning.
Subjects in this research are 56 students in academic year 2006 who pass 50% of coursework program and these subjects are adults who already passed standard in Morality Improvement of Kohlberg. The tools in the research are questionnaires and interview. The questionnaires are consisted of attitude of discipline, learning Behavior, reinforcement, self-efficacy, attitude in e-learning and e-learning disciplinary. Pearson Chi-Square correlation is used for evaluation.
The research findings are summarized as follows:
1. The External factors about student background and environment that affected to e-learning disciplinary are
1.1 Factor in Knowledge and Skill in Computer and Internet used affects at the 0.01 level of significance.
1.2 Factor in Media and Study environment affect to e-learning disciplinary at the 0.01 level of significance.
1.3 Factor in Learner Planning affects at 0.05 level of significance.
However, Eight factors (sex, age, online course that ever signed, income, experience in computer and internet used, experience in e-learning, owner computer and times to used in e-learning does not affect to e-learning disciplinary at level of significance.
2. Internal factors that affected to e-learning disciplinary such as
2.1 Attitude in Discipline affects at 0.01 level of significance.
2.2 Learning Behavior affects at 0.01 level of significance.
2.3 Reinforcement affects at 0.01 level of significance.
However, Attitude in e-learning and Self-Efficacy does not affect to e-learning disciplinary at level of significance.
In the interview, Learners mentioned Attitude in Discipline as the primary importance because it is the factors to succeed in working and studying. In the Learning Behavior factor, learners have systematic system in working step by step. In the Reinforcement factor, learners think that if they succeed in this program it means they have competency to graduate form high quality university. In the factor of Attitude in e-learning , learners view that e-learning can help them to save money and give the opportunity in education. In Self-Efficacy factor, learners think that they have competency to succeed in this program.
