Abstract:
The purpose of this research were 1) to study the retention of nursing employees, government university hospitals and 2) to explore the factors that influence on the retention of nursing employees, government university hospitals. The sample consisted of 356 professional employees nurses from 7 government university hospitals in Thailand, who had at least one year of experienced. They were selected by simple random sampling technique. Research instruments were personal factors, family factors, organizational factors, and confidential level to retention questionnaires, which were confirmed content validity by a panel of five experts. Cronbachs alpha coefficient was .96. Data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and logistic regression. The research findings were as follows: 1. The maximum rate of retention of nursing employees, government university hospital were the group of nursing employees which confidences to retention 42.98 percent, the group of nursing employees at the neutral level 35.39 percent, and the group of nursing employees which not confidences to retention 21.63 percent. 2. The factors that influence on the retention of nursing employees, government university hospitals was value and culture of organization at level < .05, which have influence rate = 1.22 (Odd ratio = 1.22)
