Abstract:
The purposes of this research were to study the relationships between personal factors of staff nurses and service quality management of head nurses with service provided for in-patients as reported by staff nurses, government hospitals, Bangkok Metropolis and to search for variables which would be able to predict the service provided for in-patients. The subjects consisted of 480 staff nurses, were selected by multistage sampling technique. There were two research questionnaires, the quality management questionnaire and service provided questionnaire. The first questionnaire was adapted from Parasuraman et al. while the second questionnaire was adapted from Panida et al. The reliability of the questionnaires, tested by Chonbach method were .79 and .94 respectively. The data were analyzed by using Pearson product moment correlation coefficeint, Chi-square and Stepwise multiple regression analysis. The major finding were as follow 1. There were positively significant relationships between employee-job fit, teamwork, technology-job fit, supervisory control system-job fit and perceived control of service quality management of head nurses with service provided for in-patients (r = .4531, .4306, .3386, .1862 and .1205 respectively) at the .05 level. 2. Factor significantly predicted service provided for in-patients were employee-job fit, teamwork, technology-job fit and widows/divorces, at the .05 level. These predictors accounted for 29.16 percent (R2 = .2916) of the variance.
