Abstract:
The purpose of this research was to the development of model for learning resource center for district non-formal education service centers in the upper northern region. The findings could be summarized as the followings: 1. The organization structure of the center should be divided into 3 departments; administrative, services, and technical departments. Administrative department should include strategic planning, human resources, statistic, financial, general affairs, and building. Services department should include circulation, learning resource center inter-loan, community services, media duplication, center activities, center orientation services, and audio-visual materials services. Technical department should include media acquisition and preparation, media maintenance, cataloging, and database management. 2. The lay out of center should cover areas for circulation, checking, maintenance storage, staff working area, individual study, periodicals and children corners. Internet information searching and exhibition for local wisdom. 3. The center should open at 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday to Sunday. The services should include circulation, learning resource center inter-loan, modern media services, Internet, center orientation services, education television and video services, book on tape, center for searching, and information technology, training, community announcer, and public relations media coordinated to other organization. 4. Activities in the center should include display corner for news, important days, art and culture, religion, literature, social, economic, politics and community tourism, new publication, activities coordinated with other educational institutions, searching information, training for teachers and students on high technology. 5. Budged should receive from the government sufficiently, and support from external organizations and community. 6. The center should acquire media include printed and non-printed materials.
