Abstract:
The intention of this research is to study the factors influencing Pondok school to keep its traditional system in southern provinces of Thailand. The instrument of collection of the data for this research is questionnair. The sample of the population are 300 persons; the parents of the students of Pondok traditional system school, students and islamic teachers or the owners of Pondok school. The method of analysis of the statistical data is by way of frequency, mean, standard deviation and the average proportion of the set up standard. The result of this research was found that, the most significant factors influencing Pondok school to keep its traditional system in southern provinces of Thailand, is the need of islamic inheritance. This affected the directional status of Pondok school, which is not only for the need of students' parents, but also for the wishes of the students, who would like to study and also teaching in traditional system. At present, it is the special duty and mission for all Muslim over the world to carry on Islam of the next young generation, which profess Islam. The conclusion of this research was that, the important factor of islamic inheritance is from the students' parents demanding to send their children to study at Pondok school to keep its traditional system, this effect pondok schools to keep their traditional system in southern provinces of Thailand, more than other reasons of factors. Then the needs in addition Islam should be related to faith and culture, and to study the from of Pondok school. This culture will carry on to the young Thai muslim of the next generation, the study of Islamic religion is also the supple mentation of the Islamic intact. This study is the main point or basic of the development and the progress of culture and civilization in society.
