Abstract:
To study relationships among personality traits, relationship satisfaction, and love attitudes of dating couples. Three measures: the love attitudes scale, the relationship satisfaction scale, and the personality test developed from the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator were given to 100 dating couples. Results show that: 1. Thinking dimension correlates negatively with Mania style (p<.001). Feeling dimension correlates positively with Mania style and correlates negatively with Ludus style and Pragma style (p<.05). Judgment dimension correlates negatively with Ludus style (p<.05). Perception dimension correlates positively with Ludus style and Mania style (p<.05). There are no significant linear correlations between other dimensions and love styles. 2. Eros style, Agape style, and Storge style correlates positively witn relationship satisfaction (p<.001). Ludus style correlates negatively with relationship satisfaction (p<.001). There are no significant linear correlations between Pragma and Mania style, and relationship satisfaction
