Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to develop The Myers Briggs Type Indicator form M (Thai version) for upper secondary school students. The translation from English version into Thai version was done by back translation technique. A sample consisted of 1,298 students was drawn by multistage sampling from upper secondary school students, Office of the Basic Education Commission, Ministry of Education. The reliabilities of the scales were analyzed by using Cronbach's alpha coefficient, split half method and test retest method. The criterion related validities were confimed by the correlations between scores from EPPS and the scores from the Myers Briggs Type indicator form M (Thai version) and and correlation between the score of known group and the scores of The Myers Briggs Type Indicator form M (Thai version). The results were as follows: 1. The reliabilities of the scales were analyzed by using Cronbach's alpha coefficient, split half method value were .71 and .68. The reliabilities of scales were analyzed by using Cronbach's alpha coefficient, split half method and test retest method of scales Extraversion (E) Introversion (I) value were .73 .75 .81, Sensing (S) Intuition (N) value were .46 .35 .62, Thinking (T) Feeling (F) value were .69 .62 .79 and Judging (J) Perceiving (P) value were .73 .73 .70. 2. For the criterion related validities, the correlations between the scores of EPPS and The Myers Briggs Type indicator form M (Thai version) were positive and significant at .05 level (.291, .297, .309, .399) and negative and significant at .05 level -.277, -.389 and the correlations between the scores of known group and the scores from The Myers Briggs Type indicator form M (Thai version) for every scales were positive and significant at .05 level 3. Type of upper secondary school students according to The Myers Briggs Type Indicator from a sample of 1,298 students. Almost male students are INFP and almost female students are ENFP. Almost students in urban area are ENFP and almost students in rural area are ESTJ.
