Effects of employing the Cippa instructional model in organizing learning activities on learning achievement, science process skills and scientific attitude of prathom suksa five students /
Abstract:
To study the effects of employing CIPPA instructional model in organizing learning activities on learning achievement, science process skills and scientific attitude of Prathom Suksa Five students. The samples of this study were 60 students of Prathom Suksa Five, academic year 2001, in Wat Takramaen School under the jurisdiction of the Office of Kanchanaburi Provincial Primary Education. They were divided into the experimental group and the control group, 30 students each. The experimental group was taught science by employing CIPPA instructional model with the following teaching stages : 1) Checking prerequisite scientific knowledge, 2) Constructing knowledge with process of science, 3) Exchanging scientific knowledge, 4) concluding, re-ordering scientific knowledge and analyzing learning process, 5) Applying scientific knowledge, and 6) Presenting result of scientific work and evaluation. As for the control group was taught science by the conventional method teaching. The experimental duration was 10 week. The research instruments were the science learning achievement test, the science process skills test and the scientific attitude test. Data were analyzed by using mean, standard deviation and t-test. The result was found that after the experiment. 1. The mean score on learning achievement of students being provided by CIPPA instructional model was higher than that of the students taught by conventional method at the .05 level of significance. 2. The mean score on science process skill of students being provided by CIPPA instructional model was higher than that of the student taught by conventional method at the .05 level of significance. 3. The mean score on scientific attitude of students being provided by CIPPA instructional model was higher than that of the students taught by conventional method at the .05 level of significance
