Abstract:
The objectives of this independent study are to study the motivation levels of municipality school teachers and the factor that have the relation to motivation levels. The data were collected from 201 questionnaire responses. The study found that the motivation level in performance of municipal its school teachers was generally at high level. Based on teachers advancement, the motivation was at average.
The study of the motivation level showed no difference in performance motivation, while difference was significant on salary and advancement. Teachers motivation in work performance was the average. The motivation levels in performance depend on gender, age, education and level of instruction which influence teachers perception on policy and administration. Age and education are factors for differences in teacher perception on salary. On the other hand, gender and education are factors for account for different views on personal achievement. The levels of class instruction result in perception of acceptance. Factors that influence perception on responsibility are gender, salary, year of service, level of instruction and the work experience at the school. Finally, gender, age and education resulted in different level of advancement.
