Abstract:
The Present of Thai legacy is the painting decoration created for Cher Resort Hotel, Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. Cher Resort Hotel is a luxurious beachside hotel with magnificent scenery of Hua Hin beach. Its unique and outstanding architectural structure and interior design in the modern style establishes an exclusive identity for the hotel which could notably attract lots of travelers. White, grey, and black are used in combination for the hotel decoration. Trees are adopted as one of the symbols of the hotel since its name Cher was originated from one of the Thai alphabets which means trees. In addition, buffaloes are being used as another symbol due to the fact that the hotel is located in the area of Bang Kwai Village (Kwai means buffalo). The perfect harmony of all these things is the splendid charm of the hotel. The painting The Present of Thai legacy represents the beauty relations of Thai folk in the community - reminding the audiences of happiness, harmony, and simplicity of Thai culture in the old days. It discloses the bonding of time that lasts forever. Time may change, but the nostalgic scent of the old days is still vivid in the memory. The connection of the piece of art and the interior decoration has a great impact on emotion and feeling of tourists. The harmonized atmosphere of the two contrast pieces of work has raised the aesthetic value and emphasized the importance of both pieces of work. Besides, a-storyto- tell like Bang Kwai Village, Hua Hin District, helps reflect the charming atmosphere of the venue. This makes the aesthetic value and interior architecture more valuable and interesting to study.
