Abstract: Nosocomial infections are typically diagnosed using culture-based techniques, biochemical assays, or PCR, but these methods are time-consuming and use a lot of resources including lab technician. Early detection is critical to prevent post-surgical complications and recover faster. This study explores a biosensor based on molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) designed to detect Escherichia coli in concentrations ranging from 0.1 to 10⁵ CFU/mL using electrochemical analysis.
