Abstract:
This academic article synthesizes literature related to the factors influencing the image of politicians by integrating research from political science, psychology, and mass communication. The article emphasizes evaluating the impact of personal characteristics, media presentation, political performance, public interaction, and cultural context on the image of politicians. The analysis reveals that a politician's image is more significant than policy outcomes, with media presentation and alignment with cultural norms heavily influencing the image. The rise of digital media platforms has transformed traditional image management, necessitating that politicians adapt their strategies to maintain their image. Therefore, understanding these complex and interconnected factors is crucial for effectively managing politicians' public image in the modern political environment. Strategic planners and political communicators can practically apply this understanding to create a positive image of politicians among the public.
